LVMH a construit une stratégie autour du rapt des valeurs de l’art moderne. Du prix qui devient cote, en passant par las magasins qui deviennent galeries, les collections qui deviennent expositions, les dirigeants qui deviennent agents, donc agents d’artistes et non plus de designers. Des vrais agents de la création, de créateurs et non des créatifs. Ipso facto, un rôle incroyable qui leur est donné, de représentation, de flagship, et un pouvoir démesuré. Avec Dior Homme et le départ d’Hedi Slimane, on avait bien vu la volonté de redonner le pouvoir à la marque, et de ne plus se rendre, jamais prisonnier de cela. M Jacobs est discret chez Louis Vuitton, C Micelli est passée de Vuitton chez Dior, ainsi point de baronnie, on encourage la mobilité, comme chez Vogue, les marques reprennent leur prima. Bon ou mauvais calcul ? C’est un people’s business,il faut donc gérer ces gens qui sont la richesse et la sève de la supériorité, les gommer, c’est l’échec assuré, trouver un équilibre est difficile, mais indispensable.
